Bring the whole family to help George Washington celebrate his 287th birthday on Sunday, February 17, from 10 AM to 2 PM at Washington Crossing Historic Park. Admission is free!
 
Various children’s activities will be offered in the park buildings and Visitor Center. At 2 PM, visitors will sing Happy Birthday to George and enjoy cake, donated by The Caketeria in Newtown, that he will cut with his sword.

Cross Country Ski Workshop (age teen-adult)

In this workshop, the participants will learn about the different types of cross-country ski equipment that are available and what to look for in selecting your first pair of skis.  Other topics will include: how to dress and where to go skiing in New Jersey.  The indoor lesson will last 1 -1 ½ hour.  If the ground is snow covered, an additional 1+ hour outdoor ski lesson will be offered. Participants will have to provide their own ski equipment for the outdoor lesson. Call the Nature Center to obtain equipment rental information. The workshop will be co-instructed by Kevin Kavanaugh, Ewing and Daniel Nurmi McAuliffe, Langhorne. Advanced registration required.

For the next concert, February 17, 2019 Concordia Chamber Players proudly present a fantastic program of compositions spanning three centuries, all written by women. We open this program with the devilishly difficult and dynamic Piano Quintet by Ellen Zwillich written in 2010 with the same instrumentation and somewhat inspired in structure by the famous Trout Quintet by Schubert.

This concert features returning artists, John Novacek on piano, Anthony Manzo on bass, Ayana Kozasa on viola. Joining us for the first time will be wonderful violinist, Miho Saegusa. Miho and Ayane are both members of the prize winning Aizuri String Quartet.
