Friday October 5, 2018
6:00 PM - 9:00 PM

Art at Kings Oaks, the much-anticipated pop-up art exhibition near Newtown, Pennsylvania, returns for the sixth year this October 5 - 21. The exhibition features paintings, works on paper, sculpture, ceramics, and textiles works from 26 renowned and emerging American and international artists in an historic barn and chapel.

This year’s exhibition offers a sense of playful simplicity combined with sophisticated mastery of materials. There is a wide range of visual expression, but each artist has at least two visual allies, creating a chain of continuity throughout. The artists range in age from emerging makers in their 20’s to art-world veterans in their 90’s. The curation process took Weishahn and Cohen on multi-day road trips throughout the Northeast to meet many of the artists and transport their work, while they became acquainted with more distant “artist heroes” online.

Exhibiting Artists: Rotem Amizur, Brett Baker, Charity Baker, Linda Brenner, Alex Cohen, Dennis Congdon, François Dupuis, Perky Edgerton, Miriam Hitchcock, Kenichi Hoshine, Martina Johnson-Allen, Albert Kresch, John Lees, Heidi Leitzke, Aubrey Levinthal, Susan Lichtman, David Ludwig, Dan Miller, Kristen Peyton, Ron Prigat, Brian Rego, Jacqueline Shatz, Clintel Steed, Gwen Strahle, Robert Winokur, John David Wissler.

Admission is free, artwork is for sale. Free onsite parking.
