Sunday August 12, 2018
11:00 AM - 12:30 PM

Learn basic paddling skills while kayaking on the Delaware Canal on Sunday, August 12, from 11 AM to 12:30 PM.

We’ll start out on land to familiarize ourselves with the parts of a kayak, basic paddling technique and water safety, then take to the water to try out what we’ve learned. This program is an ideal way to learn the skills you’ll need to kayak on your own or join us again for a longer paddle of the canal or river.

Kayaks, paddles, and personal flotation devices will be provided. There is a $5 per person suggested donation for this program (ages 10 and up only). Space is limited, so please register in advance.

More details including meeting location will be emailed upon registration. Contact Maggie Wallner at mwallner@pa.gov for more information.
