Canal Hike, Washington Crossing Park

Join Washington Crossing Historic Park’s naturalist for a Friday afternoon hike on the Delaware Canal Towpath at 2 PM on August 10. We’ll begin at the historic Thompson-Neely Farmstead, hike southward, and return for a 2 to 2.5-mile round trip. Along the way, we’ll be on the lookout for turtles, wood ducks, muskrats, and other wildlife. We’ll have binoculars to share, but feel free to bring your own. FREE.
 
Please meet at the Thompson-Neely Farmstead, 1635 River Road, New Hope, PA at 2 PM.
 
Registration is not necessary but is highly encouraged to help us gauge visitor interest in this event.

Rat Pack Tribute Show at Newtown Theatre's Stage

 Dean Martin, Sammy Davis Jr., and Frank Sinatra will appear together again at the Newtown Theatre on Friday, Aug. 10 at 7:30 p.m. Tickets for “The Rat Pack: Together Again” tribute show are $25 and are available through http://TheNewtownTheatre.com 

Dean Martin opens the show with a few songs and some humor, introduces Sammy Davis Jr. to kick up the energy, then Frank Sinatra appears to belt out great standards like Come Fly With Me, My Way, and New York New York. Dean chimes in with songs like Everybody Loves Somebody and That’s Amore while Sammy entertains the crowd with Mr. Bojangles and Candy Man among others. The mix of songs, comedy and uncanny portrayals will have the audience reliving the golden era of Las Vegas.
