PRIDE 5K & 1 Mile Health Walk

Delaware River Towns Chamber of Commerce and New Hope Celebrates are proud to present a new event in conjunction with Pride Fest 2018. Get your pride on at the Pride 5K Run and a 1 Mile Health Walk, a fun-filled event that will take place in the streets of Lambertville and New Hope. The race will start promptly at 8 a.m. at the Lambertville Station. 

Race registration is $35 in advance and $45 the day of the race. Proceeds will support the Chambers’ programs and New Hope Celebrates. New Hope Celebrates (NHC), is a nonprofit organization focused on highlighting the history and cultural nuances of New Hope, PA while stimulating the retail, hospitality, and professional community. NHC is comprised of an Executive Board that drives activities and events that serve the diverse LGBT populace through the creation and promotion of marketing opportunities, educational activities, and cultural events.

Going the Extra Mile for Kids in Foster Care: The CASA Kids Superhero 5K and 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk is Saturday, May 12, 2018.

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Mercer and Burlington Counties invites the community to join in the CASA Kids Superhero 5K scheduled for Saturday morning, May 12 at Princeton Pike Corporate Center, 1009 Lenox Drive, Lawrenceville, NJ.  Corporate teams, families and individuals will all be out on the course, which includes a 5K USATF certified flat course with two water stops; or a 1 mile fun run/walk.  There will be awards for the top three female and males and T-shirts to all participants.  Superhero costumes encouraged! Activities for families such as face painting, warm up exercises, prizes for participants, music and food trucks.

The Furlong resident will read her winning poems at 1 p.m. Sat. May 12 at the college’s Newtown campus, joined by runners-up and other finalists.  1 – 3 p.m. Sat. 2 Mile River Walk, Morrisville

Join the Friends of the Delaware Canal in Morrisville on Saturday, May 12 for a 2-mile roundtrip walk encompassing both the scenic River Dike trail and the Delaware Canal towpath.  The walk will begin at 3:00 p.m. outside the Actors’ NET of Bucks County Theatre, 635 North Delmorr Avenue, Morrisville, PA 19067.  Parking is available across the street at the base of the dike.

Susan Taylor, Executive Director of the Friends, will lead this guided tour through the Borough of Morrisville.  It is the only town along the Delaware River in Bucks County that has a dike protecting it from flooding.  The dike serves its intended purpose well and also provides a popular pedestrian pathway with impressive views of the Delaware River and the Trenton skyline.
