From first discoveries to lasting skills, Stuart's Early Childhood Program provides girls and boys with a joyful initial classroom experience and a solid foundation for the future. Caring classroom teachers–experts in childhood development–integrate reading, writing, math, science, and art with visits from specialists in music, religion, Spanish, technology, and creative movement. The Early Childhood Program at Stuart comprises co-ed preschool classes for ages 2, 3 and 4-year olds with flexibility to attend half- or full-day and 3, 4 or 5 days per week. Learn the Basics of Stove top and Electric Instant Pot Pressure Cooking. We will share with you the many tips and tricks we have learned for making great food fast! We will pressure cook Octopus, White Beans, Risotto, Carrots, and Black Rice and make a meal out of them. So time to put your fears to rest and get pressure cooking! $95 per person from 10am to 1pm.

Class 2- Mushroom Risotto, Colombian Chicken Stew (Ajiaco) with Cilantro and Capers, Margarita Pudding Cake.

Don’t let winter stall your outdoor fun and exercise this year! Consider the benefits of “Winter Hiking.”

Enjoy unique and beautiful scenery, no bugs, and oh yes, burning off those holiday calories. Winter Hiking however involves special skills, gear and risks compared to 3-season hiking. This is your opportunity to learn about clothing, equipment and safety necessary for Winter Hiking, whether you’re plans entail local parks or more remote wilderness. Appalachian Mountain Club leaders Jeff Fritzinger and Barbara Beatrice will focus on the essentials, demonstrate gear and provide an opportunity to join a winter hike on a later date when there is snow.
