Habitat Bucks Offers "Safe at Home" Repair Clinic

Habitat for Humanity of Bucks County will hold a free "Safe at Home" Repair Clinic on Saturday, February 17, 2018 from 10:30- noon at Habitat's Chalfont office.Habitat's home repair program does interior and exterior repairs for low-income homeowners to make the home safe and accessible, and to preserve the home. Its "Safe at Home" Repair Clinic will focus on modifications that help make a home a good fit for its occupants regardless of age or disability.

The clinic will be presented by Karen Reever, manager of Habitat's Home Repair program; Megan McLaughlin, occupational therapist with Bayada Home Health; and Jeff Olavarria, owner of Age in My Place. Presenters will describe typical repairs and modifications that can be made in the home and walk you through common repairs/modifications most frequently needed by older/disabled homeowners, i.e. grab bars, railings, improved task lighting, accessible switches/outlets.

The Friends of the Yardley-Makefield Library would like to publicize the following FREE (limited seating) community program:

The effect of Impressionism in music and poetry still reverberates in much of today’s music and literature.  We will look at the art, music and literature of this organized movement and see how closely these artists knew each other. This multimedia presentation includes live and recorded samples plus examples of art with analysis.  Steve Pollack is a director, performer and lecturer whose career has spanned music and theater types ranging from opera and musical theater to jazz, pop, rock & roll and drama.
