Hibernation Happens at SLNC!

Throughout the winter, this unique program is offered to groups (either at SLNC or at off-site locations). In honor of Groundhog Day 2018, we are offering this program to the public! ONE DAY ONLY!! Program is most suitable for children between the ages of 3 & 6 years old and their parent/caregiver.

“Winter is here. What happens to animals that live near? Do they sleep, migrate, or freeze? Let’s crawl into the Hibernation Hut to learn about their winter strategies.”

Program starts inside the Visitors’ Building where children will get to crawl through a tunnel into the Groundhog’s Home, where our (puppet) animal friends will talk about their winter lives. After visiting the Groundhog’s Home inside the Visitors’ Building, we will venture outside for a walk on the Trails to find Animal Homes & Signs in Nature! Feel free to bring a snack or lunch and stay for a picnic (indoors or outdoors)!

The cost for this very special event is $6/person.  Please call 215-785-1177, visit http://www.SilverLakeNatureCenter.org, or stop into the Visitors’ Building. Silver Lake Nature Center 1306 Bath Road Bristol, PA 19007

TIME STANDS STILL
JANUARY 23 – FEBRUARY 11, 2018
by Donald Margulies

Sarah and James work together as war correspondents—she’s a photographer; he’s a writer. When a car bomb injures Sarah, she comes home to recuperate in the loft they share. It’s soon clear that she is eager to return to the action, while he’s relieved to be away from the terror and bloodshed. Faced with the prospect of leading a normal life, can Sarah confront her addiction to chaos and war? From Pulitzer Prize-winner Donald Margulies, this Broadway hit play is a witty, intelligent look at ordinary life through the lens of war.
