Saturday January 27, 2018
2:00 PM - 3:00 PM

The Friends of the Yardley-Makefield Library would like to publicize the following FREE (limited seating) community program:

1940: A Doorway to the Future, Presented by Trish Chambers

This program is a nostalgic journey back to the 1940s!  While dressed in period costume, Trish will explore how that era laid the foundation for the social, technical and cultural changes that have shaped the world we live in today.  The 40s drove changes in our behavior and thinking that provided the inroads for changes in law and approach to civil rights.

Saturday January 27, 2018
2:15 PM

Support a local business! Only 3 rules:

1. Spend at least $20

2. Talk to three new people

3. Have fun!!!

We will meet in a public space in Newtown (location to be sent via email 1 week prior), and the business we will support will be revealed. A short walk there- a little purchase, a lot of fun!

Studies show that when you spend a dollar on a local business it circulates in the community longer and provides 5 times more benefit locally than spending at a big box or online merchant.

You can shop for yourself or for a gift, either way you support the community and making new friends! You're welcome to help me support a local coffeehouse or adult beverage locale after retailing.

Please RSVP with "CASH MOB" subject line to 0380ayam@gmail.com

TIME STANDS STILL
JANUARY 23 – FEBRUARY 11, 2018
by Donald Margulies

Sarah and James work together as war correspondents—she’s a photographer; he’s a writer. When a car bomb injures Sarah, she comes home to recuperate in the loft they share. It’s soon clear that she is eager to return to the action, while he’s relieved to be away from the terror and bloodshed. Faced with the prospect of leading a normal life, can Sarah confront her addiction to chaos and war? From Pulitzer Prize-winner Donald Margulies, this Broadway hit play is a witty, intelligent look at ordinary life through the lens of war.
