Bucks Beautiful is pleased to welcome Pam Byers and Jeanne Connelly to the Board of Directors.
Pam Byers is a lifelong resident of Bucks County, PA. She attended Central Bucks West High School and Lafayette College, where she majored in German. After college Pam worked as a medical writer and editor. She married Bob Byers of Byers Choice Ltd., whom she had met in high school.
Over the years Pam has worked for Byers’ Choice in many capacities as she raised the couple’s two sons. Along the way, Pam volunteered for many organizations, including the County Theater, VITA, and St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Byers has a passion for nature and the arts. She and her husband are film buffs who are currently producing a documentary film. The couple enjoy traveling, and Pam relishes studying the language of whatever country they plan to visit. An avid gardener, Pam relishes working in her raised beds, growing greens and herbs and encouraging “whatever seedlings spring to life from the compost.”
Jeanne Connelly hails from Pittsburgh, PA, having earned her degree in Biology at the University of Pittsburgh. She and husband, Dr. Mark Connelly, then settled in Doylestown, where they raised two daughters and have resided for thirty-one years.
Jeanne retired from Johnson & Johnson with thirty years of experience in pharmaceutical and diagnostic businesses. She held positions in Research & Development, Business Development, and Marketing. Throughout her career she enjoyed opportunities to travel across the world supporting customers and products. Following her tenure at J&J, Jeanne performed private consulting with several area pharmaceutical companies.
Mrs. Connelly’s community outreach includes previous membership with the Bucks County branch of the Woman’s National Farm & Garden Association, where she served on their garden tours. She currently volunteers with NOVA as she believes strongly in the programs and support they provide to our community. Horseback riding is Jeanne’s favorite pastime. The equestrian spends at least two hours every day riding and visiting with her horses at the stable.
They join current Board of Directors Matthew Broad, Gerald Caronello, Steve Darlington, Melissa Eiseman, Mike Feeney, David Fermier, Peter R. Fernandez, Chuck Gale, Dr. Vail Garvin, Thomas L.
