Before there was Beautiful, there was Leader of the Pack. Bop along to the songs you love in this Broadway musical celebrating the life and times of Ellie Greenwich, whose doo-wop sounds skyrocketed to the top of the ‘60s charts. Ellie’s rise to fame is told via a virtual hit parade of her music including “Chapel of Love,” “Da Doo Ron Ron,” “Be My Baby,” “River Deep, Mountain High,” “And Then He Kissed Me,” and, of course, the title song, “Leader of the Pack.”

The Ultimate Guys Night starts at 6:00 behind the theatre, where guests will enjoy a selection of three cigars from Neds Cigar Store, beer tastings from Second Sin Brewery, and a pizza buffet from Meglio Pizzeria. At 7:15, guests will move inside the theatre for a screening of the 2003 classic “Old School,” which will start at 7:30 PM.

5th Annual “Reel” Garden Party, Newtown Theatre Benefit

The 5th annual “Reel” Garden Party in support of the historic Newtown Theatre will return on Thursday, June 26 at the home of Ed McLaughlin and Tara Grunde-McLaughlin in Newtown Borough (125 North Chancellor Street). This popular outdoor cocktail party starts at 6:30 p.m. and includes drinks, heavy hors d’oeuvres and music. The cost of the party is $80 per person and only 100 tickets will be sold.
