33rd Season of Live Shows at The Newtown Theater
TheNewtown Arts Company announces its 33rd season of live shows at the Newtown Theatre. Subscription sales are now underway. The line up includes “Treasure Island” in March; “Mary Poppins– The Broadway Musical” in April; “My Fair Lady” in June; “Stage Door” in August; and Agatha Christie’s ”And Then There Were None” in October.


Washington Crossing Brewfest Tickets Now on Sale
Tickets are now on sale at a special price of $40 through February 6. A limited number of Designated Driver tickets are available for $10.
The date of the 6th annual Washington Brewfest is Saturday May 7 from 12:30-4:30pm.

Makefield Women's Association Spring Fundraiser
Makefield Women's Association has announced their Spring Event/Fundraiser scheduled for April 15, 2016. The fundraiser will be MWA's 2nd Annual Designer Bag and Basket Bingo at the Elks Lodge in Morrisville at 5:30pm. Tickets are $30 in advance,$35 at the door. Patriot Pale Ale Now Available Locally
The Friends of Washington Crossing Park and Doylestown Brewing Company have entered into a joint venture and launched Patriot Pale Ale, a new beer that will be available in select locations in Bucks County and New Jersey. “With our mutual interest in honoring the area’s rich history, a pairing with the Friends of Washington Crossing Park on this particular product just made sense.” Patriot Pale Ale is currently available at the brewery’s location at 22 S. Main Street in Doylestown as well as The Continental Tavern in Yardley and Patriots Crossing Tavern, located along the Delaware River in Titusville, N.J. A portion of the sales from the beer will be donated to the Friends of Washington Crossing Park.


Doylestown Arts Festival Seeks Artists, Food Vendors and Volunteers
Since 1991, the Doylestown Arts Festival has provided the community with a juried selection of artists and the best of the area's culture. This two-day festival is the largest event of the year in the heart of beautiful Doylestown, PA. Our annual festival has grown to include more than 160 artists, 5 stages of live music and 2 food courts. Diverse activities are available at numerous locations throughout the downtown area. Live music features solo acts as well as rock, pop, folk, big band and music for kids. The festival is a free event for the community, rain or shine! The festival dates are September 10 and 11, 2016.

2-5 to 2-7: Pennsbury High School Presents Anything Goes
Over 55 cast members, a 25-piece student orchestra, and a technical crew of more than 45 students will be presenting Cole Porter’s family friendly Anything Goes at Pennsbury High School on Friday, February 5th at 7:30 pm, Saturday, February 6th at 7:30 pm, and Sunday, February 7th at 2:00 pm. 2-11: Trains Now and Then
Dean Dickson, a psychologist and Yardley resident, will talk about the history of toy train collecting and its influence on American culture and family in the 20th century. The public is invited to celebrate George Washington’s 284th birthday on Sunday, February 21 from 10 AM to 2 PM at Washington Crossing Historic Park. Admission is $1. During the day, various children’s activities will be offered in the park buildings and visitor center. Children are encouraged to bring homemade birthday cards to present to General Washington.
