OLMC 2 Day Craft Fair

Our Lady of Mount Carmel School will host its 39th Annual Holiday Artisan Market (Craft Fair) on Friday, November 3rd from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and Saturday, November 4th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Held on the school’s campus in the heart of Doylestown, this indoor event will feature more than 100 artists and crafters selling items including handcrafted jewelry, textiles, and one-of-a-kind creations.  New this year will be a “Boutique Hallway” with items for sale from local retail shops and vendors. Festivities will include a raffle, a homemade bake sale, and a “Bulldog  Bistro.” Proceeds from this fundraising event will benefit Our Lady of Mount Carmel School. Admission is free.

Beekeeping, Snipes Farm

Come to the Farm House at Snipes Farm for bee keeping class with Paul Scutt. Paul brings 25 years of experience to this introductory course for people considering keeping their own bees. The class will cover the basic principles of bees: their physiology, the sociology of a hive, hive construction and inspection and harvesting honey. Weather permitting there will be a walk to the hives on the farm. Refreshments will be served afterwards.

Sandy Sweeney, a Penn State Master Gardener from Montgomery County, will be doing a hands on presentation on how to make a worm culture for helping with composting all year round at Bucks County Audubon Society on November 4th at 10am. This will be a hands on workshop, where participants will get to bring home their very own starter batch of worms to begin composting with! Admission is $10/BCAS Members and $15 for Non-Members. Gourmand World Award Winning Author Maria Liberati will be guest instructor for a Holiday Cooking Class and tasting for a Feast of the Seven Fishes Dinner. Attendees will learn how to cook a traditional Feast of the Seven Fishes Dinner and sit down to eat a sample 4 course Feast of the Seven Fishes Dinner. The class will be held at Bucks County Community College on Saturday, November 4th from 10 am to 1 PM. Registration is $68 + a $20 materials fee.
