Silver Lake Nature Center is opening the doors of the Earthship on July 8th & 29th, 2017 from 10am – 2pm for all to visit for free! It is a zero carbon footprint building using rainwater for water, solar energy for electricity, and thermal mass for heating and cooling. Families & individuals welcome.

Comedian Bobby Collins will appear for two shows at the Newtown Theatre on Saturday, July 8 at 6:30 and 9:30 p.m. General admission tickets are $30 and are available at JJComedy.com. 
Widely regarded as a “comic’s comic,” Collins has been making people laugh for decades. He has made numerous appearances on late-night shows like Letterman, Leno and Fallon, is a regular on Sirius/XM radio, and puts on 200 live shows each year. With perfect delivery and impeccable timing, it’s easy for audiences to empathize with Collins’ characterizations and rants about the human condition and current world events.
The Newtown Theatre is located at 120 N. State Street in Newtown Borough.

NIGHT HIKE (6 yrs. – adult) Saturday July 8, 8:30 p.m.  Explore the park for nature at night and have some good old-fashioned fun on this naturalist-guided hike and campfire. Bring a flashlight. Enter the park from the entrance on Bear Tavern Rd (Phillips Farm/ Group Camping Entrance) and follow the event signs to the Nature Center. Advanced registration and payment required.
